More about Jeffco Patriots

Jeffco Patriots has accomplished a lost since the group was formed in August of 2021.

We help candidates run and be elected to School Boards.

We led the fight to defeat the Prop-P Tax increase.

We now have both a voice and a place at the table regarding the future of this county.

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

This county is unique in that it is poised for dynamic growth as it struggles to maintain its rural identity, keep taxes down, and develop jobs and housing.  We have people who want a metropolitan lifestyle and large areas of the county that want to remain rural in nature.

It is as though we are trying to thread the eye of a needle as these tensions increase-because progress does not halt.  

Subtly, our children are being exposed to racial and gender equity ideas. Novel concepts in education are producing sub-standard results in math, reading, history and science.  Covid did not produce the problem; our leaders’ responses to Covid only helped expose the problems we have in education.  We are told the children are more well balanced as suicide, crime, drug addiction, homelessness and mental health problems exponentially increase.

As we move into this primary season, it is imperative to motivate ourselves to remain vigilant, talk to our neighbors, friends and families, and continue outreach in the community.  It is not enough to identify the problem but become the solution.   Get involved in public discourse, find out about the candidates, and work toward getting the ones who are closest to your vision elected. 

We have recognized our differences. Now is the time to move past the heated rhetoric of dissatisfaction and into the harder work of building on that foundation of change and build that city sitting on a hill.  This will take ALL of the county. As we choose our elected leaders, let us choose those who are humble, willing to listen, have a vision for our county, and are servants willing to achieve that vision. 

The Jeffco Patriots, along with other groups and individuals, have raised awareness that we need a change.  Let us now have the courage, strength and wisdom to build and be the change we desire.  It is time to work even harder to move forward-together.  GET  INVOLVED.
